The Good & The Bad

Going Back to Work
The good: I love my job. I get out of the house. My girls crack me up.
 The bad: Pumping. Missing O.
Lacrosse
The good: I get outside. I get exercise. I get to share my talents with others. I have so much fun!
The bad: Busy, busy! Missing O.

Owen's Growing Body & Personality
The good: New clothes from grandma. His adorable giggles. Loving him so much I could squish him.
The bad: He's a lot of work. I'm tired! And hungry.
The medium: O has started to laugh. Every time he laughs (EVERY TIME) he gets the hiccups!? What in the world is this about?
Gavin's New Lifestyle
The good: He's gotten so good at taking care of baby. It gives us more appreciation for each other's roles when we switch back and forth. He gets field experience by working with my dad when I am home.
The bad: Less money.
Valentines Day
The good: Early surprises. Decorations. Treats. Closer to Easter and Reeses Eggs.
The bad: Having to work on date night. Missing my brother on his birthday (3 more months!).
More good: Owen's blessing. Gavin got officially accepted into the Masters of Accounting Program at the U. Team Uno. Owen usually sleeps through the night. Yoga DVD's. Gavin's new shoes. Warmer weather so we can go on walks. These cookies.
Maternity leave ended about two weeks ago and while we have a lot of good going on, every day is kind of a whirlwind! Every morning at work, we set goals. My goal is continuously to be present. When I'm at work I want to focus on doing a good job at work, but I don't want to think about work while I am home, being present with my family. When I'm at lacrosse, I want to think about what the girls need from their coach, but when I'm not at lacrosse, I don't want to dwell on it. The goal is a hard one, and I'm not great at it, but I think I'm getting better.
